What Astrology Has Taught Me About Myself, My Relationships & My Purpose

I still remember the first time I looked at my birth chart in my first Astrology class.
Not just my Sun sign, but the whole cosmic map. It kind of blew my mind!

Until that moment, I’d often wondered why I felt things so deeply, or why I needed solitude just as much as connection. I questioned whether I was too sensitive & too emotional. But astrology showed me that all of these traits weren’t just quirks, they were part of my soul’s design.

Learning astrology has changed how I see myself, how I move through the world, and how I show up in my relationships. It gave me language for things I’d always felt, but never knew how to explain.

Astrology helped me understand myself

Through my chart, I could finally see that my sensitivity was not a weakness, it was a gift.
My deep intuition, my love of healing, my connection to nature… these weren’t random. They were written in my stars.

Astrology helped me realise that I am on purpose. That I’m not lost or broken, I’m simply walking the path my soul chose. And that gave me peace.

It also helped me stop comparing myself to others. I began to embrace my own rhythms, needs, and emotional waves. I found more acceptance for the parts of myself I used to question or judge.

It’s helped me be a better mother, wife, and healer

One of the most unexpected gifts of learning astrology has been in my relationships.

When I looked at my children’s charts, I could see them more clearly. Not just who they are now, but who they’re growing into.
It helped me meet them with more patience and understanding, especially when they couldn’t articulate their feelings themselves.
It’s helped me support their emotional needs, honour their uniqueness, and parent with more trust.

The same is true in my marriage.
I’ve come to understand how my husband communicates, processes emotion, and expresses love, even when it's different from me.
We don’t always meet in the same place, but astrology has been the bridge to help us understand each other.

And in my work as a healer, it’s been a sacred tool.
Seeing a client’s chart helps me hold space for them more intuitively. I can sense what they may be moving through and offer them a way to see themselves in a different light.

It’s not about predictions

Astrology isn’t here to tell us what to do or who to be. It invites us to understand ourselves more deeply, and to meet others with more compassion.

It reminds us that we are part of something bigger. That our lives are not random.
That we each carry unique energies and lessons, and that we’re allowed to grow into them, at our own pace.
